Cornet solo.

One of the greatest of the American standard song; "Stormy Weather" lends itself
well to modern, lush harmonies. Particular care must be given to the phrasing,
dynamics and balance of the chords, - in particular when the cornets are playing
"dead tone." The cornet solo at the beginning should be played in a brilliant,
almost "ad-lib" style.
